Established in June 2006, Paradigm Coffee and Music is a community empowered restaurant and venue that strives to bring exceptional food, beverage, and music to the greater Sheboygan area. With a focus on locally-sourced ingredients, environmentally responsible practices, and a socially progressive foundation, Paradigm offers more than a menu stocked with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free fare. We provide a place to meet, work, eat, and live.
MEET The Paradigm Crew
Kate Krause has always considered Sheboygan home. She opened Paradigm Coffee and Music in 2006 because she recognized the need for an open and affirming space in Sheboygan that reflected the views she and her peers shared. Kate is the vice president and co-founder of Goodside Grocery and co-founded the Sexuality and Gender Identity Community Initiative in collaboration with Mental Health America. Kate likes motorcycles, bicycles, her darling dog Rupert, community potlucks and all kinds of other stuff. She founded the Queer Potluck held quarterly at Paradigm to strengthen community and create connections through a shared meal.
Stacey Hoard, born and raised in Southern California, moved to Wisconsin in February 2000. She once had a pet pig named Stanley Chops. Stacey has been with Paradigm since 2006 and has tried to quit several times, but Kate won't let her and refuses to fire her. Stacey has 2 kids and loves taking naps.
Matt has been working at Paradigm for 6 years. What started as a casual shift cover has evolved into overseeing the kitchen and infusing his personal vegan practice into the menu. Matt is learning to fix motorcycles and has a salt water aquarium. Matt is on the board at Goodside Grocery co-op and is a founder at ReBoot.
